Chef Post's Turkey Sausage Stuffing


1/2 lb turkey breakfast sausage
2 green apples
1 vidalia onion
2 oz fresh sage
2 oz fresh thyme
2 oz fresh rosemary
2 cloves of garlic
4 oz butter
1 baguette
8 oz of cornbread
4 oz of walnuts
Salt & pepper to taste



Roughly chop baguette and pan toast/or oven roast until crispy. Crumble cornbread and combine with baguette. Brown sausage in butter, then set aside
Core and dice apples, dice onion, mince garlic
Saute apples, onions, garlic in sausage infused butter.
Crumble sausage in the bread mixture. Roughly chop walnuts, sage, thyme, and rosemary and combine with bread/ sausage mixture. Pour sautéed apple mix over the sausage mix and mix H. Salt and pepper to taste. Bake for 20 minutes in a casserole dish or stuff inside turkey and bake until the turkey is cooked through.
